Slow Fade
During our smallgroup nung saturday sa ccf, I heard a very familiar music from Joel's phone that really caught my attention. Its "While I'm Waiting" from the movie Fireproof. Sobrang nag-click sakin yung song because, parang feeling ko yun ang pinapagawa sakin ni Lord right now.
I need to wait for Him... Paulit-ulit kong pinapatugtog yung song sa phone ko that day (till now actually). I'm trying to take to heart what does it mean to really wait for Him... What does it really (as in really) mean to let God take the driver seat of my life..
The next day, Sunday (April 25), Pastor Nathan talk about Stewardship Of Life... Soobrang na blessed ako on his preaching. Connect nanaman sa heart ko yung mga sinabi. It is like si Lord, kumakatok nanaman sa heart ko, parang gusto nya na makipag kwentuhan ako sa kanya.. Parang gusto nya magging very close kami...
During the preaching, Pastor Nathan played the song Slow Fade to express one of the points on his preaching. And yes, another Fireproof song!!! I never realized how deep that song was...
Coincidence? No, no... It is the God of the universe, trying to reach MY heart! JOEY'S heart! I'm sure, there are a lot of CCF(ers) who heard that peaching who also got convicted. However! God made sure that I will notice the back-to-back Fireproof songs that He purposely use to talk to my heart, Saturday-Sunday.
It's a slow fade... I'm planning to live mga 50-60 years pa on this earth. I really just pray that my heart will not slowly fade out of love in Him...
Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade
Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you're thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day
Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
