Inspired

As you might have already known, lately I'm getting lazy in updating this site.  I rather browse websites, read other blogs (which is definitely much interesting than mine), read and reply to emails -than writing here.   However, naisip isip ko na sayang yung mga events and realization na na-experience ko that (I think) is worthy of being written down (if not telling others).

Ahhh… there are definitely a lot of things that had happed that I should have written down on this site.  But I guess they're too old already.

Recently I was very inspired by one particular officemate of mine.  I was inspired and humbled at the same time.    This guy was able to recently buy a car!  A fraction of the cost came from his savings and his parents paid the rest.   This person inspires me not because he has a car; I was inspired because of the extreme discipline he has gone through in saving money for that car.  For more than six months he committed himself in saving money to the point of (almost) starving.   He did not eat out or watch a movie!   This guy is a regular guy.  He has a girlfriend and he does go out for a gimmick.  

 

I was humbled because I underestimated this guy.  I did not think much of him really but I was surprise to learn about the great deal he went through to be able to save enough money for that car…

 

Lesson learned:

* Keep an open mind. 

* Don't look down on others. 

* Wisdom can also be found from the simplest of people.

 

Sana ako rin may discipline and commitment tulad nya.
