Mother’s Day

Yesterday was a great day.

About 430 am

I woke up, tweaked and oiled my bike, prepared my gear. In case you are wondering how do I prepare my gear, I’ll create another post in the MTB Adventure section of this blog.

About 515am

I’m off. I started biking going through my normal “Sunday” route. 5am - 515am is just about the right time to bike. During this summer season, if I leave the house about 530am-6am, is already late because the sun is already bright. 515am is just fine, not too dark, no need to attach my headlamp on my bike.

My “normal Sunday route” is going though the whole stretch of marcos highway (I believe its also known as Sumulong highway) then proceed to UP Diliman.

When I arrived UP, I just tambay for a while and just read few verses from my bible. After that, I biked about 30 mins just going around UP. I like biking in UP because there are few cars, good asphalt road, and also some relative slopes (not just plain flat). Also, not to mention –there are some pretty faces jogging around -hehe =).

About 745 am

I was on my way going back home. I was near our house (about 2 mins away) when I had a minor accident. Yes, accident, but thank God it was minor. As I was riding, there was another bike in front of me. Then, all of a sudden, he turned left! What the @#$&%#!!! He turned left WITHOUT making any signals and WITHOUT looking on his shoulders!!! Fortunately, I was able to brake a second (or maybe less than a second) before I impact. I hit him and both of us were down. Thank God that both of us were not harmed; and also our bikes were not damage. I was very angry and started scolding him in the middle of the street while we are both picking up our bikes. Of course he also scolded me back (in a lesser tone). His defense is that “nag hahabol ka” – telling me that I was in a hurry that is why I hit him. I was not in a hurry, but I was indeed riding fast (I guess about 25-30 km/h). I was very angry while I was scolding him. I keep on telling him over and over again that he should look before turning. When we were parting our ways, I was shouting at him that he should be thankful that I was not a car –“pasalamat ka hindi ako kotse” that hit him.

Fortunately, that incident did not ruin my entire day.

About 1pm

My mom, my sister, my younger brother and me went to SM Megamall after attending the church.

It was nice. We ate lunch ate the food court, watched Kingdom of Heaven then ate dinner at Super Bowl.

We went home about 8pm

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mother’s day is about mothers, so I guess should be writing about my mom.
Hmm… don’t know where to start. I also don’t want to be mushy and emotional on this post (specially after my last one)… Ah basta! She is a great mom!
I love you mom! (kahit I don’t say it often)
